If I Were A Boy

Hello Luvs,

In light of my weight-loss journey, I am officially too small for a good amount of my jeans and button-up shirts, however I was able to make it work with this comfortable boyish look. I no longer have to struggle, squeeze, and stuff myself into some of my clothes! YAY! I am still a work in progress and I literally take it one meal at a time! And so can you!

Watch as I snapchat my way through making a healthier Banana Nut Loaf! 

This loaf totals to 186

 calories per slice (makes 9 slices), while Starbucks similar banana loaf totals to 420 calories per slice!

Recipe from Cookie&Kate

Ingredients:

⅓ cup Applesauce 

½ cup Pure Maple Syrup

2 Eggs

1 cup Mashed Ripe Bananas (about 2½ medium or 2 large bananas)

¼ cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

1 teaspoon Baking Soda

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

½ teaspoon Salt

½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon, plus more to swirl on top

1¾ cups White Whole Wheat Flour 

Optional: ½ cup mix-ins like chopped Walnuts

Nutritional Details:

Moral of the story, I got rid of some over ripe bananas without tossing them in the trash and the plus is one slice pairs great with some coffee without the extra calories and crazy sugar!

Chambray + White Denim

He tried so hard to hold up baby London!

 

Hello luvs,

This past weekend I took my son to a birthday party at a local park. I decided to wear a denim on denim look by pairing a chambray shirt with some white distressed jeans. Just to spice things up I tossed on some wedged sandals I purchased a few years back from target, which makes a practical and comfortable look for the park with my little ones. I even styled baby girl in a chambray shirt and floral bloomers in the spirit of Spring! Unfortunately, my sons chambray shirt was too small, but getting him to wear a button-up shirt these days is one tough sell!
